What file formats does ClauseShield accept?+
ClauseShield accepts PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, PNG, JPG, and JPEG. Scanned PDFs and image uploads are run through OCR (Tesseract). Each upload is validated by file signature, not just extension, to reject disguised binaries.
Is my contract data private?+
Yes. Contracts are stored in private Cloudflare R2 buckets with server-side AES-256 encryption, scoped per user. We never share contract text with third parties, and we never train on your content.
How accurate is the AI clause detection?+
Our Legal-BERT classifier achieves F1=0.9574 on the held-out test set across the 8 supported clause types. Each detection includes a confidence score; low-confidence clauses are flagged for manual review.
Can I export the analysis to share with my lawyer?+
Yes. Every analysis can be exported as a redlined DOCX, a PDF risk report, a plain-text summary, or a 6-sheet searchable Excel workbook (Summary, Original_Text, Clauses, Redlines, Risk_Heatmap, Metadata).
